Attendance

School isn't the same without you! Our goal is for students to be in school every day. Strong school attendance is essential for success in school.

Develop Strong Attendance Habits
1. Establish routines that support attending school. Setting routines for waking up, doing schoolwork, and going to bed create habits that make going to school part of the routine.
2. Talk about school. Conversations about what is happening in school show the importance of attendance. Checking our school website, Canvas, and PowerSchool can also help parents stay informed about what's happening in school.
3. Use the district calendar to plan for the school year. Whenever possible, plan for vacations and appointments to occur during school breaks.
4. Create a back-up plan. Consider friends, family, or community members that can provide help if the day doesn't go as planned.

Reporting Student Absences
Parents should call 816-630-9210 before 8:30am to report a student absence.
